Breakthroughs After Endings: Finding God’s Ram in the Bush
The Power of Letting Go
Lately, I’ve been noticing a pattern in my life—one that I can’t ignore anymore. Over the past couple of years, there’s been this incredible trend that happens after I walk away from something that no longer serves me. Whether it’s a friendship, relationship, or situationship that ends, I’ve noticed that immediately after it’s over, I experience a breakthrough.
Breakthroughs After Endings
It’s like the moment I fully release and let go—whether it was my decision or his—the floodgates of blessings open. It might be a new job opportunity, a fresh wave of creativity where I’m writing consistently, or God speaking to me more clearly than ever before. Whatever it is, the moment that chapter closes, something new and better begins. It’s as if God steps in and says, “I’ve got something greater for you on the other side of this.”
And let me tell you, I’ve started calling it exactly what it is—a breakthrough. Every single time.
Now, I don’t know if you’ve experienced this, but I wonder if this resonates with you. Have you noticed moments where, after the dust settles from a difficult ending, you find yourself stepping into something so much better than you imagined?
Recognizing God’s Ram in the Bush
It’s taken me some time to fully understand, but what I’ve realized is this: when something doesn’t turn out the way I had hoped, God still has a plan—a “ram in the bush,” if you will. And every single time, He brings me to a higher place than where I was before. Even though those endings are tough, and sometimes painful, God has a way of using them to set me up for something far greater.
I think about Abraham in the Bible, when he was about to sacrifice his son Isaac, trusting God completely. In that intense moment, God provided a ram in the bush—a sacrifice to take Isaac’s place. And just like that, I believe God steps in for us too. When something is taken from us, or we have to let something go, God always has a “ram” ready—a blessing, a breakthrough, something greater than we could have planned for ourselves.
Finding Peace in God’s Plan
So now, when a relationship doesn’t go the way I hoped, I’ve learned to look ahead with faith and expectancy. Because I know—without a doubt—that God’s breakthrough is coming. He’s about to show up in ways that are beyond my imagination.
If you’re in a place where something just ended, or you’re struggling with letting go of a situation or relationship, I encourage you to trust that God is already working on something better for you. It may not feel like it now, but just like He’s done for me, He has a breakthrough with your name on it.
Your Breakthrough is Coming
Remember, when one door closes, it’s not the end—it’s the beginning of something new, something greater. God never leaves us empty-handed. He always has a ram in the bush, waiting to take us to new heights.
I’m thankful that even when things don’t go the way I planned, God’s plan is always greater. And when I look back, I see how every ending has paved the way for a new beginning—a breakthrough that I never saw coming.
